D12 PP is Polypropylene at a lesser density. Developed later down the track and applied by brands like Nomad Bodyboards, Funkshen Bodyboard, Custom X Bodyboards, No.6 Bodyboards and GT Bodyboards. Standard PP foam is compressed at 1.9LB density whereas D12 PP is only compressed at 1.2LB density. They offer the rider a high performance board with---- waterproof and durable tendencies. Cheap bodyboards are a rarity and by all means you get what you pay for when it comes to bodyboarding, however, by purchasing a D12 bodyboard you're getting yourself a cheap price for a quality product which has all the tendencies of a standard Polypropylene core without being as stiff.
